Recycling companies
Recycling companies process metals, components, and technical assemblies for reuse, resale, or material recovery. In this process, oils, greases, particles, emulsions, and other residues must be reliably removed from the components. At the same time, the cleaning and processing steps generate process water that may be contaminated with solids, oils, and other impurities.
RHOBA-Chemie produces specialty chemicals for surface and process water treatment. Our products are individually tailored to the requirements of your recycling process.
Reconditioned components and recyclable materials are often contaminated with various residues. Depending on their origin and previous use, these may include, for example, oils, greases, particles, emulsions, or old paint. Before the parts can be inspected, further processed, or sold, these contaminants must be completely removed.
For this purpose, we offer water-based and solvent-based cleaning systems. The cleaning chemicals are tailored to the specific material, the type of contamination, and the existing plant equipment.
When cleaning materials and components, the wash water used absorbs the oils, greases, particles, emulsions, and other contaminants that have been removed. As a result, the water itself becomes contaminated with residues from the cleaning process. If it is to be reused in the process—either once or multiple times—these contaminants must be specifically removed from the water.
RHOBA-Chemie’s specialty chemicals support process water treatment. Coagulants and flocculants promote the separation of solids and fine particles. Defoamers reduce disruptive foam formation, while corrosion inhibitors can be used to protect piping and plant components.
The recycling machines used also accumulate contaminants and deposits during processing and must therefore be regularly maintained and cleaned to ensure efficient operation, maintain cleaning performance, and extend the machines’ service life.
In cases of unexplained process fluctuations, our laboratory analyses can help identify contaminants in process media or residues.
