RHOBA SUPRA E402 is a highly alkaline and amine-free hot paint stripper for steel and iron components and can be applied by spraying or in an immersion bath.

The parts to be stripped should be cleaned of coarse dirt and oil and be absolutely dry. The processing temperature in the paint stripping system is 70 °C to max. 95 °C.

The paint stripping time depends on the type of paint used, the paint thickness, the age of the paint and the process used and can range from a few minutes to several hours.

Once the paint stripping process is complete, the parts are rinsed in a water bath or sprayed off with a water jet, possibly also using high pressure. The rinsing water must not get into the paint stripper bath.

For steel and iron workpieces, subsequent passivation (e.g., RHOBA SUPRA C303) may be necessary to prevent rust formation.

In the immersion process, a very good agitator in the bath or a circulation pump should ensure sufficient bath movement to accelerate the paint stripping process.
