  • removes a wide variety of paint systems, e.g., air-drying epoxy paints, polyurethane paints, acrylic paints, 1- and 2- component paint systems and especially powder paints, high solids, epoxy, primers, and other paint systems
  • has proven itself for stripping paint from miscoated workpieces and painting equipment
  • can be used universally for stripping paint from steel, iron, aluminium, and aluminium alloys

RHOBA SUPRA E401 is a liquid, amine-containing paint remover for the application in an immersion bath.

For reliable results, it is used undiluted at 70-90°C. To avoid the formation of explosive steam/air mixtures, it is important to ensure that there is always a slight extraction when using baths with a cover.
The parts to be stripped should be cleaned of coarse dirt and oil to be dry. Water ingress reduces the paint stripping performance, considerably reduces the bath service life and can also cause corrosion on light metals.

RHOBA SUPRA E401 can be used with an oil-top layer (e.g. RHOBA SUPRA Z401) to reduce evaporation losses and carry-over losses. The parts to be stripped must be completely immersed in the working phase. For optimum function, the oil-top layer should be 8-10 cm high.

The paint stripping time depends on the type of paint used, the paint thickness and the age of the paint and can range from a few minutes to several hours. A gentle bath movement reduces the contact time. Once the paint stripping process is complete, the parts are rinsed in a water bath or sprayed off with a water jet, possibly also using high pressure. The rinsing water must not get into the paint stripper bath. In the case of steel and iron workpieces, subsequent passivation may be necessary to prevent rust formation.
